Quality Supervisor for Maintenance

MAC, INC. PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATION STATEMENT:

POSITION PURPOSE:

  • Serves the Company as the Quality Supervisor to provide quality oversight of our process, procedures and facilities.
  • Assists in establishing quality regulations for products and employees. Establish plans to recruit, motivate, and encourage employees while striving to improve processes and product quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures found in Company manuals
  • Promotes safety throughout the organization as mandated through Company policies identified by executive management
  • Demonstrates daily a commitment to the continuous improvement of safety throughout the organization
  • Manages the daily operations within the Quality Control Inspection Departments.
  • Ensures root cause / contributing factor investigations are conducted in a timely and professional manner to provide effective, comprehensive corrective action plans.
  • In coordination with the CRB performs the necessary corrective action and follow-up processes to ensure the implementation of comprehensive fixes to systemic problems through preliminary root cause analysis
  • Verifies the performance of the MAC inspection and maintenance programs through the CASS quality audit function
  • Provides oversight of the Facility Quality Programs that are assigned.
  • Assists in the development of manual process and procedures.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships related to projects and contracts.
  • Manage internal communications with contractors, directs and customers.
  • Understand and execute contractual requirements related to quality control, budgetary management, and customer service.

  • Other duties as assigned by the DQA and GM.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must hold a current A&P license for at least three (3) years and meet the requirements of 14 CFR 65.83
  • Must meet the supervisory and experience requirements as a Quality Manager or as a 145 Chief Inspector or similar type position.
  • Must be qualified through training, experience and expertise and understand the applicable responsibilities.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have general knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, and presentation software (MSWord, Access, Adobe, and PowerPoint).
  • Must have advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Pro.
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must hold a current A&P license and meet supervisory and experience requirements under 14 CFR 119.67(d). 121.378 (b); 119.67(d)
  • Be qualified through training, experience, and expertise, and to the extent of his responsibilities have full understanding. 119.65(d)(1); 121.135(b)(3)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Oversight of:
    • Quality personnel as assigned

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • General Safety
  • Company Indoctrination Training

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Work typically performed in an office environment. However, sometimes work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
  • Light physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking. Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risk, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • May work at different locations and times as needs require
  • Minimal travel to offsite locations <20%
