MAC, INC. PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATION STATEMENT:
In the performance of your respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to confirm to the following:

POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for the effective use of available manpower to accomplish task assignments requested by Hangar/Line Manager or MAC Maintenance Control to the highest level of reliability and safety in accordance with all applicable MAC, manufacturer and FAA policies, procedures, manuals, and regulations
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Responsible to oversee mechanics assigned and ensure work schedules coincide with the proper execution of the aircraft operation.
• Ensure aircraft workorders are accurate and completed as outlined in company policies and procedures.
• Manage mechanic timecards to ensure compliance with company and customer standards.
• Manage aircraft, inventory, personnel, facilities, equipment, and other shop items to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Communicate proper status to maintenance control and other leadership personnel to ensure a seamless and timely operation.
• Assign and monitor individual task assignments to mechanics on daily basis and follow up as needed.
• Provide technical assistance to mechanics and work on aircraft, as required.
• Ensure mechanics maintain current training status on tasks assigned.
• Work with other maintenance departments to ensure cohesion within the department regarding technical support, maintenance training etc.
• Collaborate with onsite customer and other agencies to uphold our company reputation and standards.
• Perform Quality Control checks on work accomplished to ensure highest level of reliability and safety.
• Ensure all duties assigned are completed as assigned.
• Demonstrates daily a commitment to the continuous improvement of safety.
• Ensure station coverage for absences such as sick and vacation.
• Provide corrective actions regarding station audit findings.
• Review historical data and provide guidance to employees in troubleshooting repeat or
recurring discrepancies.
• Accompany the FAA during station visits and help, as necessary.
• Is the primary point of contact for their maintenance location. Must be available in off hours to be contacted in case of emergency (may be delegated when necessary, however, they must notify maintenance management of the delegation for contact purposes).
• Ensure aircraft are properly secured over weekends and holidays in case of inclement weather.
• Complete the Delay/Cancellation reports, as applicable.
• Coordinate work and jobs in progress with oncoming technicians and leads during shift change.
• Ensure that paperwork, tags, etc., are properly filled out and signed including tags for parts removed from aircraft.
• Provides on-the-job training instructions and information on job procedures, safety, and excellent work practices.
• Monitors on-the-job training and assures paperwork is submitted to the Training Department as required.
• Keeps Maintenance Control advised of problems that could result in work or aircraft delays.
• Take necessary action to ensure that maintenance personnel in his or her group are qualified to accomplish the duties assigned to them.
• Efficiently utilize manpower, making possible adjustments in methods and perfection of procedures to provide continuous improvement in efficiency and increase of production of his or her group.
• Keep all buildings and equipment under his or her jurisdiction in clean and orderly condition.
• Ascertain that all labor and materials used by his or her group are allocated to the proper work order numbers.
• Point of contact for their assigned location.
• Establish work schedules to meet operational needs and minimize overtime requirements.
• All other duties as assigned by Maintenance Management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Airframe and Power Plant License.
• Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions.
• Thorough working knowledge of all current FAA Regulations.
• Thorough working knowledge and use of MM, IPC, SRM and other manufacturers repair and troubleshooting documents.
• Thorough working knowledge of blueprints, work orders and task cards to determine type of configuration and special instructions prior to installation.
• Extensive knowledge of aircraft accessories, components, and other hardware.
• Comprehensive knowledge of estimating hours and materials for completing projects.
• Complete knowledge of aircraft fasteners and applications.
• Complete knowledge of all related skill area machines, equipment, and hand tools.
• Ability to operate aircraft systems.
• Ability to do engine "run-up" and "trim engines".
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Must possess a valid driver license.
SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Wear appropriate PPE as designated in each work area (e.g., safety glasses, etc.)
