Quality Assurance Auditor

MAC, INC. PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATION STATEMENT:

In the performance of your respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to confirm to the following:

POSITION PURPOSE:

  • Serves the Company as the QA Auditor to conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with company maintenance policy and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Performs continuous and methodical monitoring and evaluation of MAC’s Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) looking for indicators and symptoms of weakness.

  • Ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures found in Company manuals.

  • Promotes safety throughout the organization as mandated through Company policies

identified by executive management.

  • Demonstrates on a daily basis a commitment to the continuous improvement of safety

throughout the organization.

  • Identifies hazards and accomplishes risk analysis and assessment.

  • Verifies the root cause of CASS Board Action Items (CASS-002) and the comprehensive

corrective actions and initiates risk-based follow-up surveillance planning, as appropriate.

  • Conducts external audits, either onsite or desktop, of maintenance providers who provide

parts and services for MAC in accordance with the CASS Manual.

  • Conducts internal audits of specific MAC departments to ensure that policies, procedures and

controls are in place and effective.

  • Conducts follow-up audits, whether scheduled or unscheduled, as required.

  • Updates the QA Database with information concerning scheduled or completed audits.

  • Responsible for the execution of audit documents and their retention.

  • Responsible for the tracking and monitoring the completion of audit discrepancy corrective

actions.

  • Updates the audit schedule to ensure all required audits are completed at the appropriate

time.

  • Updates the Approved Maintenance Provider List (AMPL) as required.

  • Provides auditor training to Level I Company Auditors as required.

  • Reviews and analyzes the manual system for effectiveness.

  • Serves as an associate member of the CASS Review Board (CRB).

  • Serves as an associate member of the Reliability Group.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the DQ/CI.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must hold a current A & P license or 5 years of auditing experience in a related field.

  • Must have general knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, Adobe, and PowerPoint).

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to communicate and interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.

  • Must be able to travel and obtain a U.S. passport.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • N/A

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • General Safety and Company Indoctrination Training

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Work typically performed in an office environment. However, sometimes work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

  • Light physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking. Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.

  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risk, which require following basic safety precautions.

  • May work and travel to different locations and times as needs require.
